Very scarce complete year of the Maritime and Religious periodical issued for sailors by the Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners' Royal Benevolent Society, including all kinds of accounts of shipwrecks from around the world, counsel to avoid wrecks, tips on survival, plus adjacent content of interest to sailors, the whole generously seasoned with content designed to increase the faith and piety of sailors in general and rather beautifully illustrated.

Very good, attractive period half leather binding in a near fine state. Some light rubbing at extremities. Prelims and rears have some scattered foxing, as do the pages surrounding the above-described fold-out map, likely as a result of inferior paper being used for the map and endpapers. The map is torn and repaired amateurishly as described. Else fine.
