An exceptionally rare survivor, being a rather nicely preserved 13 x 17 inch broadside for the Steamer, Sasanoa, advertising beautiful Monhegan Island as a destination for pleasure seekers and antiquarians. A visually beautiful artifact.

Monhegan Island!
THE FAST AND FAVORITE
Steamer Sasanoa,
Will make an Excursion to Monhegan on
TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 1881,
Leaving Railroad Wharf, Wiscasset, at 7 A.M.; Mouse Isl-
and, 8.15; Squirrel Island, 8:30; ocean Point, 8.45.
Boothbay passengers for this Excursion will take regular
morning boat at 7.45, connecting at Squirrel Isand [sic] with
Steamer Sasanoa for Monhegan
This Excursion will afford a splendid opportunity for pleas-
ure seekers, antiquarians and others to visit this ancient and
highly interesting locality.
RETURNING, leave Monhegan at 3 p.m., arriving at Boothbayat [sic] 5, and Wiscasset at 7.
Wiscasset excursionists wishing to remain at Boothbay or the islands, can do so and take boat on her return.
Fare for the Round Trip:
Wiscasset, 75 cents; Boothbay and the islands, 50.
