A wonderful pair of extensive sermon manuscript volumes, with a combined over 240 pages. These belonged to Elder Leonard Bond [1842-1910] of Illinois. He was converted in 1859, and shortly after was mustered into "E" Company of the 6th Illinois Calvary, serving the entirety of the Civil War, finally mustering out on May 11, 1865. He then served as preaching elder at Olive Branch Baptist Church in McLeansboro, Illinois, Hamilton County, Illinois, etc,.
Excellent, sermons with a significant emphasis on eschatological themes and Baptist distinctives, etc., Very fine.

Leonard Bond Profesed Religon on Saturday Night before the 4th Sunday in Sep 1859 and was Baptised the 4 Sunday in Sep 1859. Licened to Preach the 3 Saturday Novv 1879 and was Ordained the 3 Sunday in April 1881. [In his own hand, Vol. 2 below].
