A very nicely preserved partially lithographed, partially handwritten letter by Mrs. C. H. Spurgeon.
Susannah Spurgeon was a fitting co-laboror to her famous husband. Though she struggled with her health throughout their marriage, she deeply loved Jesus, Charles, and the work of the ministry. To assist in the work, she began a book fund to help send works to assist the ministries of rural pastors and church planters gratis, often inscribed by her. It became known as Mrs. Spurgeon's Book Fund.
Attractive and nicely preserved.

Dear Madam,
Your kind gift of £2: - to my beloved work, has greatly refreshed and encouraged me, and I thank you with all my heart for the help thus graciously rendered.
May you share my joy in the blessing which, by the Lord's favour, rests so abundantly upon this little service for His needy servants.
Your obliged friend,
Susie Spurgeon"
