A very finely bound example of a Western hunting classic, Cruising in the Cascades and Other Hunting Adventures, by American writer and sportsman, George Oliver Shields [1846-1925].
A significant amount of the book is devoted to the author's description of hunting in Harrison Lake, Montana. It also describes Lillooet Indians and hunting and fishing in British Columbia, Oregon, Washington, and Texas. There are detailed descriptions of hunting elk, bear, antelope, and buffalo hunting as well as trout fishing, etc.,

A very good copy, bound in quarter leather with minor fading on the spine. Text is very solid, with bright and clean pages. Minor adhesive remains on pastedown from a previous private library label which apparently came loose.
