A very handsomely preserved copy of Parkman's classic, heavily illustrated with both inter-textual and full page illustrations by Frederic Remington. Additionally, bound for the Oregon and wild-life enthusiast, Walter Rutherford Peterson, by Henry Krumin of Boston.
The famed Worcester Exhibition of the Harcourt Bindery of Boston also displayed a large number of books by various other New England binders. A. H. Eaton in his Handcrafts of New England, notes there was a special group of books by Henry T. Krumin of Boston, who was described as a Russian-born binder of unusually refined taste.
