Yet another absolutely superb, fresh copy of Bunyan's immortal tale from a substantial long-time collection.
This one with a fine deep navy blue polished calf binding by Riviere & Son of London. Six compartments separated by substantial tooled raised bands, boards with a simple double-line filet, board edges with a sprig and dash pattern and dentils blind-tooled. Endpapers are marbled with the same pattern as the foredge of the text block, all by hand. A beautifully executed binding.
