1900 C. H. SPURGEON. Attractive Baptist Medallion Issued for the 1900 Baptist Fund

Very attractive 45mm silver medal medallion titled: Baptist Union 20th Century Fund. 1899-1901. One Lord. One Faith. One Baptism. This is flanked by cartouche portraits of C. H. Spurgeon, Robert Hal, and Alexander Maclaren. 

One the reverse is the Christian Soldier, almost certainly meant to evoke Pilgrim from Pilgrim's Progress in his complete armour in assured victory. Surrounded by the text, "To Commemorate the Dawn of the Twentiety Century. A. D. 1900."

Pierced for either a watch fob or medallion presentation. Unusually good state of preservation.
