EXCELLENT AUTOGRAPH LETTER BY HANDLEY C. G. MOULE, BISHOP OF DURHAM, KESWICK SPEAKER, AND ONE OF THE BEST DEVOTIONAL WRITERS OF THE LATE 19TH CENTURY.
Addressed to Rev. William T. McCormick, minister at Bournemouth I believe. Apparently McCormick had come across a letter of Moule's father and sent it to Moule, perhaps while cleaning out at his resignation [which seems to be implied in the letter]. I love the last section of the correspondence.

My dear Mr. M'Cormick,
I very gratefully thank you for the most interesting packet received yesterday.
My beloved Father's letter is more moving to me than I can say. I hear his voice in it. With your permission I am keeping it a very few days longer, & will (unless you prefer otherwise) copy a portion of it. You will understand what that letter is to one of the children of that home!
My dear brother Henry's lovely little sketch (framed evidently by his hand) of Radipole is a precious possession. I do indeed thank you for this gift of kindness. It will be hung in my new study.
For yourself, may the sweet peace of our beloved Master's presence be daily & hourly with you in the retirement to which you go. He will, t the end of His servants' pilgrimage, have some blessed work for you till you are translated to the upper chambers of the Father's House, to walk before Him in Those ministries for ever.
I am just off for a few days at the Keswick Convention.
Please bear me & my work & my weakness often, if you will, before the Lord.
I am ever yrs in Him
Handley Dunelm [i.e. H. C. G. Moule]."
Accompanied by a lithographed photograph of Bishop Moule in his study.
