Here is a wonderful piece of Keswick history.

T. Harford-Battersby and Robert Wilson [name-sake of Amy Wilson-Carmichael] founded the Keswick Convention. The present TLS is a response from one of the leading Keswick speakers [Spurgeon called him the Whitefield and John the Baptist of Keswick]. W Hay M. H. Aitken was also a well-known evangelist and was thought to have preached more sermons than any man in England, including Spurgeon.

He has apparently been asked if he would also be open to speaking at Keswick; he says he feels more comfortable listening, but will be at Wilson's disposal, etc.,

Wonderful item.
