A wonderful item; an original 1912 Second Edition of G. K. Chesterton's Daily Reader in a rather nice state of preservation and with a bold, full-page autograph on personally addressed letterhead , so perhaps given to a visitor.
The letter bears the address "48, Overstand Mansions" Chesterton lived at #60 from 1901-1909 and moved into #48 in 1910.

Good, crisp copy in blue cloth with corners a bit bumped, spine slightly dulled, and a couple of points of fading on boards. Very sound and clean with prelims just a bit toned and very minimal foxing on a few leaves. One sheet cropped not affecting any text. A rather nice copy and beautiful autograph on Chesterton's personal stationary.
