A wonderful signed association copy of The Insidious Dr. Fu-Manchu, gifted by Sax Rohmer to CBS's Steve Trumbull while on his publicity tour for the CBS radio adaptation.
In late September 1932, Sax Rohmer arrived in New York aboard the White Star Line’s Majestic to oversee and promote the launch of the second U.S. radio adaptation of his work, The Fu Manchu Mysteries, sponsored by Campana Balm. On Sunday, September 25, 1932, Rohmer made a rare live radio appearance on CBS for a 15-minute interview conducted by CBS staff writer Steve Trumbull to publicize the upcoming series.
The present copy would have been inscribed by Rohmer to Trumbull at the time of that landmark interview. A superb association copy given directly to the broadcasting insider responsible for conducting Rohmer’s promotional work for CBS.
Inscribed, To Steve Trumbull. With all good wishes. Sax Rohmer

Good - in original cloth with chips and tears with losses to cloth spine, cloth stained. That said, the volume itself is generally sound, and aside from the fold on the title page [as shown], generally clean and sound. The dustjacket is in facsimile.
