Very rare first edition with no others on the market, discussing, as he calls it, "that perverted way of the soul which we call magic, or (on a lower level) witchcraft." He has a thorough discussion of the Devil, Witchcraft and Heresy, Witch Trials in Europe, The Malleus Maleficarum, Salem Witch Trials, etc.
Williams, Charles. Witchcraft. London. Faber and Faber Limited. 1941. First Edition. 316pp.
Good + save dustjacket. Original purple cloth has some minor to moderate handling and wear, slight fading. Very solid though, textually crisp and clean, light foxing on foredge and one neat signature on blank ffep. The dustjacket has been preserved, thankfully, as it establishes it as a first printing. It is, however defective.
