The trip was taken by Mr. and Mrs. A. R. and Dena Cottle, Chief Deputy, United States Marshal, from August 7 to August 24 of 1941.
It includes a neatly inserted map detailing their travels, 46 typed original descriptions of their travels, and over 125 original photographs, print images, pieces of ephemera, and one postcard.
