A very rare piece of Spurgeonalia, the present c.1870 carte de visite albumen group of six photographs in cartouche, shows six prominent preachers of the era, all with London ties but Guthrie. We have never seen another example of the present.

2. Thomas Binney [1798-1874]. Noted Congregational preacher, also ministering in London. He was deeply influential and known popularly as the "Archbishop of Nonconformity," i.e. the non-Anglican evangelical, or "Free" churches.
3. Newman Hall [1816-1902]. Pastor of the famed Surrey Chapel in London, successor to Rowland Hill and James Sherman.
4. Benjamin Davies [1814-1875]. Noted Baptist Hebraist and influential theologian and preacher, based at Regent's Park Baptist College, London.
