An attractive bound nearly entire year of the Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit for 1863 with a real gem bound in at the beginning, i.e. a separately issued imprint by Passmore and Alabaster of Spurgeon's two letters on his withdrawal from the Evangelical Alliance as a result of their embrace of ministers who preached and taught baptismal regeneration. He could hold his nose and stand by men who dripped or dunked the babies as a sign. But to teach and preach that children baptized were indeed regenerate was a pace too far for the passionate Baptist.

Very rare in the trade. Spurgeon published very little theological or controversial material. A unique insight into his early theological principles.
