A very attractive and nicely preserved Victorian trade edition of Whiston's classic translation of Josephus. Elaborate trade embossed large 4to binding with silver, black, and red foiling. A very nice example.

A very good copy, bound in cloth, with the front hinge a tad shaken but generally solid, with generally bright pages. A shape area of toning to title likely from an old newspaper clipping loosely inserted.
