A superbly preserved John Leighton [1822-1912] designed neo-Gothic binding for the trade. Rarely available in this condition. Gold bright, cloth still a rich blue, neatly monogramed in the lower central panel on the front cover. A really delightful example of Victorian trade binding at its height.
