JEAN VERDIER. Charming Original French Country Still Life Entitled, "Fleurs."

An absolutely charming little oil on panel, beautifully presented in a gesso and gilt frame and fabric matting.

Jean Verdier [1889-1976] was a French artist, well-represented at auction, known for his elegant and charming bouquets French flowers. 

This example nicely preserved. Craquelure as shown, some minor losses to gesso and light handling to matting. 

Painting itself measures 8.5 x 10.5 inches; 17 x 19 with its frame.
